    The Village of Arlington is a growing community of 823 residents located just twenty miles north of downtown Madison in southern Columbia County. Arlington enjoys an atmosphere of "small-town" charm as well as access to the best of an urban lifestyle. A Village President and a four member Village Board govern the Village. Arlington provides a wide range of quality municipal services, including public utilities (water and sewer), public works, parks, and general government services. Arlington residents today enjoy a quality of life that is second to none in Columbia County.

   
 Limited Term Lawn Care Position:  The Village of Arlington is hiring a part time limited term position to cut, spray, and maintain Village lawns. Person must have experience with weed trimmer, commercial size riding lawn mowers, basic maintenance abilities, and be able to work in weather of all temperatures. Please complete an employment application which can be picked up at the Village Office. Deadline to apply June 19, 2017.

     Lead Public Works Position:  This is a lead position providing management to the Village’s Public Works Department including the certification, operation, and maintenance of the municipal water distribution system and recirculating sand filter sewer treatment system. Management of street-related duties, including road, storm sewer, mowing, and ditch work. The position includes public contact in which the employee must respond with patience and tact.

The purpose of the position is to coordinate the operation and maintenance of the Village Utilities, public equipment, lands and buildings, including streets and parks. 

Three (3) years Public Works experience with a minimum of one (1) year in a supervisory role preferred. State required water and sewer certifications; and a valid CDL with an outstanding driving record.
